Hi there, I’m Tim, a 32 year old professional entertainment technician trained in lighting, sound, stage and other aspects of the entertainment industry.
Lighting
Lighting has been my passion since joining my secondary school’s extra curricular technical crew. Since then, I’ve designed and installed lighting rigs for local children’s theatres, lit various gigs such as CC Smugglers, theatre shows, music videos such as The Trials of Cato, and comedies, and designed for a local music festival, and a production of Dial M for Murder – for which I also operated sound, and designed the set.
Sound
I was interested in sound from an early age, joining my local church’s sound team and since then I’ve run front of house and monitors for various bands and gigs such as The Undertones, Fred’s House, and Big 10, and other events in theatre, comedies, and conferences.
Stage
I’ve been stage crew for local amateur dramatic societies since 2007, and have learnt the trade from professional stage managers. Since then I have acted as Stage Manager, Deputy Stage Manager, and have been involved in set design, designing the set for an amateur dramatic production of Dial M for Murder.
Crew
Sometimes you just need someone to push boxes, or be there as technical support for an event. In 2023 I was part of the festival team as a roaming technician supporting the event technicians where necessary and supporting the smaller areas that didn’t have their own technician.
