LD & Followspot

This was another Big Top Touring Co. show where I took on the lighting design and programming. However unlike The Little Mermaid I opted to operate the followspot and leave the operation of MagicQ to a member of the secondary school tech team I had brought along to help out. Some of the photos are taken by me during the show when the followspot wasn’t in operation. I was much happier with this rig, as although I didn’t get a choice, there was a good mix of LED and conventional which meant the followspot was only really used for main characters where necessary and particularly for anyone flying. At the beginning of the show, Alice drops from the roof of the big top with an aerial silk – props to the actress for staying up there during the entirety of doors opening.
